Twegaite Global is an organization formed by individuals residing in the USA, Canada, and various other parts of the world, all of whom share a deep-rooted connection to the Busoga region in Uganda. This initiative stems from a recognition of our common socio-economic interests and the potential benefits of uniting to promote and support the Basoga communities on a global scale. By leveraging our collective resources, knowledge, and networks, we aim to foster socio-economic development, cultural exchange, and community cohesion among Basoga people worldwide.

Our Objectives

  1. To enhance our culture, unity, community development and self-improvement by promoting cultural and socio-economic activities in Busoga, Global Diaspora Basogas and friends of Busoga.
  2. To address needs of the members of Twegaite global members through collaboration with philanthropies, institutions and governments that support this effort.
  3. Organize cultural festivals, events, and workshops that celebrate Basoga traditions, music, dance, and art, ensuring these practices are passed down to future generations.
  4. Create networking platforms and forums that connect Basoga people globally, fostering a strong sense of community and shared identity.
